- One of on1y five football players in the history of Roswell High Football beginning in 1950 to be selected as 1st Team All-State in both his junior and senior seasons…Led Roswell Football to its first winning season his Senior year in 1955 with a 6-4 record to include wins over Buford, Tucker and Forsyth County the last three games of the season…this laid the foundation for the Hornets very first State Championship Football appearance the next season vs. Monticello in 1956…
- He played for Hall of Fame Coach Bill Yoast…after high school Raymond coached in the Roswell Recreation programs in both Youth Baseball and Football… his youngest son Mike Lingo is a current Hall of Fame Member for Wrestling.
